The Agonizing Decline and Eventual Death of His Parents

The parents of Steve Livneh - the eventual founder of Revita - died on the same day, February 18, 1998.  They died in separate hospitals, four hours apart.

More tragic were the many years that both of them suffered leading up to that day. Years of being chronically ill with old age maladies including hypertension, arteriosclerosis, strokes, diabetes, heart malfunctioning, osteoporosis and emphysema.

Steve spent much of his free time escorting them to their appointments with a variety of doctors and experts. Usually, the outcome was prescriptions of pills and shots, followed by repeated visitation to doctors’ offices to no end. Typically, the negative symptoms improved with medications but came with new negative side effects.

All these years of seeing his parents and other aging patients deteriorate and suffer in hospitals and rest homes made a harsh impression on Steve.  He refused to look ahead to ending his life in a slow debilitating pattern like his parents and billions of other people in modern times. And so he developed a deep interest in the topic of aging and what can be done about it.  The final push to go deep into these questions, in search of an affordable and potent solution towards healthy longevity, came with the death of his parents.

The Search for a Solution

His search began with conventional medicine and then took him through Chinese medicine, herbal medicine, approaches to dieting, holistic and homeopathic ideas, vegetarian diets, and other lifestyle choices. None of these produced any conclusive evidence that aging could be slowed, stopped or reversed. All of his findings were inconclusive. Each school of medicine and health regime claimed some very debatable benefits. None of them gave a clear, promising indication that they improved the aging process. Whatever benefits an approach claimed, they lacked solid clinical proof and follow-up research. All except for one new direction: hormonal support, and especially Growth Hormone (GH) supplementation for aging people.

Human Growth Hormone

Published research, (commencing with Dr. Daniel Rudman's first publication in the July 1990 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine), describes studies

on aging volunteers who were given shots of synthetic human GH. The studies showed that aging definitely correlates with the decline of hormonal production, and especially of Growth Hormone. Supplementing GH resulted in the slow-down and even reversing of aging symptoms. Aging was finally proven to be mostly the result of the continuous slow-down of hormonal production, combined with continuous exposure to damage by free radicals, poor nutrition and lack of physical activity.

Injecting synthetic GH was and still is a controversial subject. Besides the high cost of the shots, opponents claim that GH overdose, by injections, may cause severe side effects, like carpal tunnel syndrome, acceleration of the development of certain cancers, liver damage etc. Reviewing the research carefully, Steve concluded that most objections to GH are not well-proven. It appears that most, if not all objections, are driven by conflicting interests.

Conventional medicine is commercially inclined to support chronic patients with narrowly-focused medication, usually with the risk of serious side effects and the creation of new health problems. Conventional medicine is lacking one vital ingredient: preventive maintenance. In this context, preventive maintenance is the continuous supplementation of declining hormones, combined with vitamins and anti-oxidants. Preventive maintenance may reduce and even eliminate the majority of chronic ailments and the consumption of chronic medication by most aging people. Preventive maintenance is an economic threat to both conventional medicine and pharmacology. This may explain the resistance to supplementation and hormonal support as a form of preventive maintenance, as expressed by certain doctors, the medical establishment, and authorities.

The Decision to Produce Vitalin Tablets

Steve concluded that the only real objective flaws in injecting synthetic GH were the price and the need to inject yourself repeatedly.  Injecting synthetic GH is not affordable for most people and injecting oneself on a consistent basis is quite unappealing.  The search was then directed towards other effective, affordable and less controversial solutions. Solutions which ideally trigger the human body's own ability to rejuvenate and provide its own maintenance when assisted with the correct nutritional supplementation and lifestyle changes.

Initial Results

Experimenting on himself, Steve tried supplementing with amino acids. Certain amino acids are known to excite the pituitary gland to produce higher, "younger" levels of Growth Hormone in humans.  Once he had found an ideal blend of amino acids, the results were very impressive. He felt recharged and energized, with improvements to his skin, eyesight, weight, and hair color. Many of his friends and relatives noticed the changes in him and naturally asked to purchase the amino acid blend for their own use. Most new users were impressed with the rapid improvement in their well-being. This led to the decision to establish Revita Health Corp. The mission ahead was clearly defined: focus on the development, manufacturing and marketing of potent, natural, proven supplements, targeted towards anti-aging preventive maintenance.

Clinical Trials

In 2001, we commissioned a double blind placebo controlled study in the Netherlands to determine whether Vitalin raises GH levels.  The results were clear: the group taking Vitalin increased GH levels by 70% compared to the placebo group.  Statistically speaking, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) with group as independent factor and session as repeated measures factor showed a significant interaction between group and session (F (1,39) = 2.75, p = 0.05. Paired t-tests indicated that the post-treatment GH concentration in the [Vitalin] group tended to be higher than the pre-treatment values (t (21) = -1.6, p = 0.06).

Vitalin Sport for Fitness and Weight Loss

Since the introduction of Vitalin, many studies have been conducted showing the benefits of GH with regards to building muscle, improving athletic performance, and losing fat.  In fact, SYNTHETIC Growth Hormone is banned as a performance enhancing drug because it is so beneficial for building muscle and performance.  We have created Vitalin Sport as a supplement to do just that.

Vitalin to Supercharge Intermittent Fasting Results

Intermittent fasting (IF) has been gaining popularity in recent years.  Vitalin goes hand in hand with IF.  Both raise GH levels.  Vitalin is to be taken on an empty stomach and this is obviously easier while fasting.  A dose of Vitalin only contains 18 calories and will not break a fast.  Taking Vitalin while intermittent fasting will further improve the secretion of GH.
